Mike Zeigler Joins Draftfcb New York as Chief Financial Officer

Charged with creating new agency financial model

NEW YORK, April 27 — Draftfcb New York today announced the hiring of Mike Zeigler as chief financial officer. Zeigler most recently served as evp/chief financial officer at Young & Rubicam New York. Zeigler will report to Draftfcb New York President Peter DeNunzio and North American CFO Suzanne Welling.

“In Mike we have found the newest member of our senior management team, and someone with deep experience in financial management across disciplines. He will help us redesign our financial processes to support our new agency model,” said DeNunzio. “As Draftfcb New York has come together as an agency and is growing, we need to re-examine how we support our channel-neutral approach and how we leverage one agency P&L into a better way to serve our clients. Mike has worked across every discipline and will bring a fresh perspective, not just as a financial leader, but also as a progressive thinker. I am happy to have him as a partner.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining Draftfcb. The agency’s model is spot on in our ever-changing market, and that, in addition to great leadership and a solid pool of talent, is what drew me to this position,” said Zeigler. “My direct, general and interactive experience made this a natural fit for me. I look forward to partnering with the entire Draftfcb New York management team and being a part of the future model of our business.”

Zeigler has more than 20 years of senior level financial experience at Young & Rubicam’s flagship office. His financial career began at Wunderman in 1984. From 1994 through October 1995, he worked at Bertelsmann Music Group as the director of new product development. Zeigler then returned to Young & Rubicam as vp/director of worldwide business affairs where he was responsible for the negotiations and financial operations of the agency’s key global accounts. Additionally, he helped start the agency’s interactive arm, Brand Dialog. In 1999, he took on the role of evp/chief financial officer for the flagship New York office, which, at the time, had revenues of over $150 million and more than 900 employees.
