What Happens in Vegas… Stays on MTV
July 31, 2007
NEW YORK, July 31 — Herbal Essences is teaming
up with MTV and offering consumers a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime
fantasy experience that money can’t buy — their own 30-minute version of
the 2007 Video Music Awards show on MTV.
For the first time ever, Herbal Essences and MTV will give one lucky
consumer a chance to work with an MTV producer to create their personal VMA
show to air on MTV. The winner and a guest will fly to Las Vegas for the
2007 MTV Video Music Awards Weekend and will be given a personal team of
stylists while a camera crew follows the winner’s every move throughout the
weekend. The winner will begin the ultimate fantasy VMA experience on
Friday, September 7 at the official VMA kick-off party hosted by Herbal
Essences and MTV. During the course of the weekend, the winner will get to
experience all the excitement and glamour while attending exclusive parties
and VIP events, and the camera crew will be right there capturing it all to
share with MTV fans. Then the winner’s weekend journey will finally
conclude with the big award show and the post-party on Sunday, September 9.
The entire experience will be broadcast in September, giving viewers a
chance to watch the winner’s fantasy experience and the best and brightest
moments from the VMAs as never seen before.
Consumers can submit their entry to participate in the Herbal Essences
“My Fantasy VMA” contest through August 17, 2007 by entering the contest on
http://www.herbalessences.mtv.com. Contest entry will require uploading
contestant’s individual photo and answering three short essay questions.
One winner then will be selected on August 21, 2007.
The 2007 MTV Video Music Awards will air live on Sunday, September 9,
2007 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT).
